Curtains and more face masks

My kitchen window faces West and I’ve fought the setting sun for a couple of years and finally took out the two panels, that weren’t enough, and the two valances, combined them and successfully covered the window. I shortened them, and used the tops for new loops which move from side to side better than the original channels. Hubby likes that it also exposes the pretty wood at the top better than the originals would have. Anyway, I like how they turned out.

I am definitely getting sewing done during this stay order. And it’s snowing heavily now. Daughter’s business is in law enforcement and considered essential and her employees need masks to work at the jails. She tried to purchase them on Etsy with no success and I told her I’d make some and send them. I made 16 today, a new record for me. I have too many other responsibilities to do that every day. Also, have a young friend who swore he wouldn’t wear one unless it had teeth, so I painted teeth on a mask for him with permanent markers. I don’t know if it will hold up to washing but hopefully we won’t be needing them soon. Next time some oldster tries to shame him at Costco for not wearing a mask he can whip it out and put it on.

Ted has cut a piece of foam for the racing seat of his CRX and he wants if covered. I offered a flowered stripe (you should have seen his face) but may have to order something in.
